Company Overview

Christ For the City International is a faith-based 501(c)(3) international urban ministry and mission agency headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. Our mission is to help people transform cities by transforming lives. We do this by engaging and mentoring the Body of Christ to develop ministries and programs to bring hope to the city. We garner the involvement of local churches and ministries to present people the opportunity to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and mobilize them into ministry.

Summary

The Mission Teams Administrative Assistant supports the success of Christ For the City International’s (CFCI) Global Teams and Urban Plunge programs by managing all administrative, logistical, and communication needs—from initial inquiry through post-trip follow-up. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a heart for ministry.

Major Responsibilities:

Administrative & Communication Support:

Respond promptly and professionally to team leaders, churches, organizations, and individuals via email and phone. Maintain calendars, trip schedules, and logistics across both programs.
Manage and process invoicing, financial paperwork, and team insurance in coordination with the Finance Department.
Maintain accurate documentation and Contact Relationship Manager (CRM) data throughout all phases of the trip process.
Maintain a professional and relational connection with all team leaders, participants, and ministry partners to ensure retention and long-term partnership.
Assist in improving internal processes related to team communication, scheduling, and trip execution.

Mission Teams Coordination:

Serve as liaison between CFCI ministry bases and U.S.-based team leaders for Global Trips, and between Urban Plunge Coordinators/Facilitators and participating churches or groups.
Assist program staff in addressing logistical, safety, or relational issues that may arise before, during, or after trips.
Schedule and track debrief meetings with team leaders, sharing feedback with program staff.

Other Responsibilities

Participate in monthly and weekly meetings as assigned.
Build strong working relationships with CFCI leadership, Central Office staff, and field bases.
Generate timely reports and updates as requested by the Director of Mission Teams.
Perform other administrative or support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Christian Missions or related field, or 5+ years of experience in Christian ministry.
3+ years in administrative or organizational roles. Experience in international missions and/or short-term trips is strongly preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities

Ability to share the CFCI mission, vision and values with potential new church partners and individuals.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), Mailchimp, and Formstack.
Strong administrative and communication skills—both written and verbal.
Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with professionalism and accuracy.
Comfortable working across cultures and leadership levels.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a servant’s heart.

Reporting Relationships and Liaisons

Reports and is accountable to the Director of Mission Teams and is a member of the CFCI Central Office administrative team.

Accountability: Performance will be measured by…

Ensure all mission trips are planned and executed with excellence, meeting program standards and group expectations.
Maintain consistent communication with team leaders, Coordinators, Base Receivers, and the Central Office to ensure alignment and transparency.
Ability to work on a team with a servant’s attitude; projecting and nurturing CFCI's mission, vision, core values and culture.
Ability to complete the work assigned by the Director of Mission Teams.
