Registered Nurse (RN) - Part-Time Travel Medicine Specialist

$45/hr | 24 Hours/Week | Consistent Weekly Schedule | No Bedside Nursing

This isn't a traditional nursing role—and that's exactly the point.

Passport Health is North America's largest travel medicine and immunization provider, with more than 300 clinics across the U.S. and Canada. We're looking for an experienced RN who is ready to step away from the pace of hospital nursing and into a role focused on patient education, clinical autonomy, and preventative care.

Travel medicine is a unique specialty where you'll build expertise in:

International travel health
Vaccine-preventable diseases
Destination-specific health recommendations
Preventative care and patient education

Every appointment is a consultation, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with your patients.

Current Opening Details

Location: Omaha, NE
Employment Type: Part-Time
Compensation: $45.00/hour

Schedule Requirements

Approximately 24 hours per week
Mondays and Fridays are required
Every other Saturday rotation
Consistent weekly schedule with advance notice provided

This role is ideal for nurses looking for dependable part-time hours that can complement another position or provide greater work-life balance.

What You'll Do

Conduct comprehensive travel health consultations
Administer vaccines following standing orders
Educate clients on destination-specific health risks
Recommend travel health products and medications as clinically appropriate
Manage clinic inventory, documentation, and regulatory compliance
Support corporate vaccination events as needed
Complete ongoing travel medicine education and specialty training

Scheduling

We believe transparency matters.

Schedules are planned well in advance, giving you visibility into your work schedule while allowing flexibility to meet seasonal patient demand.

Travel season is typically busiest from February through August, creating opportunities for additional hours for nurses interested in supporting nearby clinics or picking up extra shifts.

What You Need

Active RN license in good standing
Compact (multistate) RN license accepted (must legally reside in the licensed/practicing state)
Three or more years of clinical nursing experience
Comfortable working independently
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Basic computer proficiency, including Google Workspace
Current CPR certification
Ability to lift and transport vaccine inventory (up to 25 pounds)
