Community Relations Director

Nestled in the heart of Port Orchard, our community offers Independent Living and Assisted Living in a warm, engaging environment centered around wellness, exceptional hospitality, meaningful connections, and an active lifestyle.

We are seeking a passionate and driven Community Relations Director to serve as the welcoming face of our Port Orchard community. In this role, you will help prospective residents and their families navigate one of life's most important decisions with empathy, confidence, and care. You'll build trusted relationships, provide personalized tours, and showcase the welcoming lifestyle, quality services, and strong sense of community that make our residents feel at home.

What We Look for in a Community Relations Director

Build meaningful connections with prospective residents, families, and referral partners

This is a field-based outside sales role. The Community Relations Director is expected to spend the majority of their time developing referral relationships and conducting outreach activities away from the community, while also managing the full sales cycle for prospective residents and families.

Guide families through Independent Living and Assisted Living with compassion and professionalism

Support the sales process by conducting personalized tours when prospects visit the community that showcase the warmth, lifestyle, amenities, and culture of the community

Drive occupancy goals through proactive outreach, relationship management, and consistent follow-up

Develop and maintain strong referral partnerships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, social workers, case managers, and healthcare professionals throughout the greater Seattle area

Manage and convert leads generated through proactive outreach, referral partnerships, and community events, while also responding professionally to inbound inquiries.

Coordinate and host networking events, educational presentations, and community outreach activities

Maintain accurate lead management, reporting, and follow-up within CRM systems

Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and Regional Sales Director and leadership team to support occupancy and census goals

Represent the community in a polished, positive, and service-oriented manner throughout Port Orchard and the greater area

What We’re Looking For

Preferred 2+ years of senior living sales and marketing experience

Proven success achieving or exceeding occupancy and move-in goals

Strong relationship-building and communication skills

Compassionate, service-driven mindset with a genuine passion for seniors

Knowledge of Independent Living, Assisted Living and Medicaid processes preferred

Proven ability to build and maintain referral networks through consistent off-site relationship development and community outreach.

Track record of spending significant time in the field developing new referral sources rather than relying primarily on walk-in or inbound leads.

Ability to work independently while effectively managing responsibilities for a single vibrant community

Professional presence with excellent organizational and follow-through skills

Understanding of local market competition and referral networks

CRM experience preferred

Creative, proactive, and motivated to bring fresh ideas to community outreach and engagement

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range of $65,000 – $75,000 annually (depending on experience and qualifications), plus performance-based bonus and commission opportunities

Schedule

Full-time

Monday–Friday, with flexibility for community events and occasional weekends as needed

This position is classified as an outside salesperson exempt from Washington Minimum Wage Act protections (overtime, minimum wage, paid sick leave, rest/meal periods).
