Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Automotive Accounting Assistant to join our accounting team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting our dealership’s accounting operations. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial data and contribute to the smooth functioning of our business.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable transactions using Dealertrack
Process journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all transactions
Utilize Dealertrack to manage financial data efficiently
Support month-end closing activities
Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards

Requirements

Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably within the automotive or dealership industry
Proficiency in Dealertrack
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience handling accounts payable/receivable management, and general ledger reconciliation
Knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, budgeting, and account reconciliation processes
Strong attention to detail combined with effective time management skills; ability to handle confidential information responsibly
Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external vendors
