About the Position
Kingdom Construction is a growing general contracting company seeking an experienced Senior Residential Construction Estimator to take ownership of our estimating process and help us build the department as the company grows.
This is not an entry-level position. We need someone with significant residential construction and estimating experience who can step into the role and begin producing accurate, detailed estimates with minimal training or supervision.
The right person will be driven, highly organized, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership of their position. We are a small but growing company, so we are looking for someone who sees the opportunity beyond the immediate role.
For the right individual, this position has the potential to grow into a leadership and corporate executive-level role as the company expands. We want someone capable of helping develop our estimating systems, establish processes, and eventually train and manage additional estimators.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct onsite consultations and evaluate residential construction and remodeling projects.
- Review plans, drawings, specifications, measurements, and existing conditions.
- Complete accurate labor, material, subcontractor, and equipment takeoffs.
- Develop detailed project pricing and professionally written scopes of work.
- Obtain and coordinate subcontractor and vendor pricing as needed.
- Identify potential scope gaps, construction challenges, and project requirements before proposals are issued.
- Manage multiple active estimates while maintaining accuracy and organization.
- Complete estimates within our standard 48–72 hour turnaround whenever possible.
- Communicate professionally and confidently with homeowners, subcontractors, vendors, project managers, and company leadership.
- Help develop and improve Kingdom Construction's estimating procedures, templates, pricing systems, and processes.
- As the department grows, assist with training and developing future estimators.
Experience & Qualifications
Residential construction estimating experience is required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive knowledge of residential construction, remodeling, additions, and ground-up construction.
- Strong understanding of framing, concrete, roofing, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, finishes, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other major residential trades.
- Experience performing construction takeoffs and developing project pricing.
- Experience reading architectural and construction plans.
- Strong ability to write clear and detailed scopes of work.
- Experience with estimating, takeoff, CRM, or construction management software.
- Strong computer and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions without constant supervision.
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple estimates simultaneously.
- Professional and confident customer-facing presence.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Schedule & Travel
- Full-time, Monday through Friday.
- Primarily daytime hours with flexibility based on workload and client appointments.
- Occasional Saturday appointments may be required.
- Regular travel to project sites throughout our Central Texas service area.
- Main office located in Salado, Texas.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
