$89k-$129k / yr PLUS Bonus (based on experience + performance bonuses)

About the Role

We’re looking for a person to grow our NEW customer pay retail department to join our growing team in Rockford. This role connects the customer, technician, and parts department — ensuring every repair order is handled with accuracy, speed, and great communication. The direction of the role will be to manage and supervise the Service Sales Team as we grow.

You’ll primarily serve as a Service Advisor (Service Salesperson) for customer-pay work while also supporting the Parts Department and Shop Forman when needed. If you’re detail-oriented, organized, and enjoy helping customers while keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, this could be the perfect fit.

As this segment of business grows, so do the responsibilities and compensation.

What You’ll Do

Customer Service & Sales

Greet all service customers in a friendly, professional manner.
Write up accurate repair orders and perform active walk-arounds.
Communicate clearly about service needs, estimates, and timelines.
Upsell recommended maintenance and repairs.
Follow up with customers for approvals and satisfaction after service.
Log all communications and authorizations in the CRM/DMS.

Service Process Management

Open, track, and close Customer-Pay repair orders accurately.
Verify technician notes, parts requirements, and labor hours before billing.
Maintain accurate customer and vehicle info in Dealertrack, ProMax, or Rapid Recon.
Coordinate with techs and parts to minimize downtime.
Review completed ROs for accuracy and completeness.

Parts Department Support

Assist with parts coverage as needed.
Help order, receive, and distribute parts for repair orders.
Manage returns, cores, and maintain inventory accuracy.
Keep strong communication flow between service and parts teams.
