Role Overview
We are looking for a high-level Site Lead who can take full control of job sites, run multiple crews, and execute complex industrial projects across racking systems, mezzanines, and automation installations.
This is not a foreman role. This is a field leader responsible for production, quality, safety, and keeping large-scale projects moving without excuses.
You will be expected to manage multiple projects or large-scale sites simultaneously, coordinate teams of 10–100+ workers, and ensure every job hits schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Site Execution
- Lead full on-site execution of:
- Warehouse racking systems (selective, pushback, VNA, ASRS integration)
- Mezzanines, platforms, and structural steel systems
- Conveyor systems and automation equipment
- Manage multiple active projects or large multi-phase sites simultaneously
- Drive daily production to meet aggressive timelines
- Ensure all installations align with engineered drawings and specs
Crew & Workforce Management
- Lead and coordinate crews of 10–100+ installers, supervisors, and subcontractors
- Assign daily tasks, track productivity, and enforce accountability
- Maintain discipline, pace, and professionalism on site
- Scale crews up/down based on schedule demands
Scheduling & Coordination
- Work directly with PMs and Ops to execute project schedules
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and labor
- Identify bottlenecks early and solve problems before they impact timeline
- Ensure proper sequencing across trades (mechanical, electrical, install)
Quality Control & Reporting
- Perform daily quality checks across all scopes
- Ensure installs meet manufacturer specs and safety standards
- Submit daily reports including:
- Progress updates
- Crew counts
- Issues and delays
- Photo documentation
- Drive punch list completion and final turnover readiness
Health & Safety
- Enforce strict adherence to all safety policies (OSHA / provincial standards)
- Lead daily toolbox talks and site safety compliance
- Ensure all workers are certified and compliant
- Take full ownership of site safety performance
Client & Stakeholder Interaction
- Act as the on-site leader representing MTLI
- Communicate professionally with clients, GCs, and inspectors
- Provide clear updates and manage expectations on-site
RequirementsExperience
- 7–15+ years in:
- Racking installation
- Warehouse automation / conveyor systems
- Mezzanines / structural steel
- Proven experience running large industrial job sites
- Experience managing multiple crews and/or multiple projects simultaneously
Technical Knowledge
- Deep understanding of:
- Racking systems (selective, drive-in, VNA, etc.)
- Mezzanine and structural installations
- Conveyor and automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Layout drawings
- Structural drawings
- Installation plans
Leadership Traits
- Highly organized and execution-focused
- Strong leadership presence — commands respect on site
- Problem solver who moves fast under pressure
- Zero tolerance for delays, excuses, or poor quality
Other Requirements
- Willing to travel across North America
- Ability to work extended hours (60+ hrs/week when required)
- Valid certifications (forklift, working at heights, etc.) preferred

Pay: $78,097.67 - $95,235.91 per year
