Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Mobile Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care directly at patients’ locations. This energetic position involves traveling to various sites to perform blood collection and specimen handling with precision and compassion. As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you will be the friendly face of our organization, ensuring patients receive professional, efficient, and caring service in a variety of settings, including homes and places of employment

Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture using straight stick techniques to ensure specimen integrity and patient safety
Collect, process, and handle laboratory specimens accurately according to established protocols
Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to ensure comfort and safety during procedures
Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and specimen collection in electronic health record (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
Adhere strictly to laboratory procedures, safety standards, and infection control practices
Lift supplies (15lb max) when necessary and manage specimen transportation with care to prevent contamination or damage

Experience

Prior experience in medical laboratory work or clinical laboratory settings is highly preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy techniques, venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen collection/handling
Familiarity with hospital environments or healthcare facilities enhances your ability to adapt quickly to various clinical settings
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and laboratory procedures supports accurate testing and patient interactions
Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to work independently while managing a flexible schedule are essential for success in this role
