Pediatric Physical Therapist

Location: Central Oregon/Bend
Position Type: Part-Time (Transitioning to Full-Time)
Start Date: ASAP

Our work extends beyond traditional therapy services. We partner with families, preschools, local nonprofits, and state funded programs to reduce barriers to care and support children in the environments where they learn, play, and grow. In addition to pediatric therapy services, we offer postpartum doula support, NICU transitional support, and lactation services, allowing us to nurture and support families through multiple stages of their parenting journey.

We prioritize relationship-building and compassionate care, knowing that while parents may not remember every strategy we teach, they will always remember how we made them feel.

About the Role

Pediatric Village Home Care is seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our growing team. Our primary focus is serving children from birth through preschool age, while maintaining a smaller caseload of older children with medical and developmental complexities, siblings of current clients, and families living in more remote areas of Central Oregon.

Services are provided through a variety of settings, including:

In-home visits
Preschool and childcare settings
Playhouse (clinic) visits
Telehealth appointments

This position is currently part-time with a planned transition to full-time as our practice continues to grow.

This position requires one day a week of travel to a remote location in Central Oregon.

What We're Looking For

Licensed Physical Therapist (or eligible for licensure) in Oregon
Passion for working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Commitment to family-centered, strengths-based care
Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team
Enthusiasm for community-based pediatric practice
Experience with pediatric orthotic management and cranial remolding helmets preferred, but training and mentorship are available for the right candidate
Knowledge of child development and pediatric movement disorders preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive pediatric physical therapy evaluations
Apply knowledge of comprehensive child development to assess movement, motor skills, functional abilities, and developmental progress across infancy and childhood
Develop individualized treatment plans rooted in evidence-based practice
Provide family-centered interventions that support developmental goals
Assess, recommend, and monitor orthotic devices and cranial remolding helmets as appropriate, collaborating with families, orthotists, physicians, and other providers
Educate caregivers on positioning, mobility, developmental activities, equipment use, orthotics, and helmet management
Collaborate closely with caregivers, educators, healthcare providers, and community partners
Deliver services across home, clinic, preschool, and telehealth settings
Maintain timely documentation and compliance with professional standards
Contribute positively to a collaborative, supportive team culture
Advocate for improved access to services for children and families
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in physical therapy
