Live in beautiful Bend, Oregon! We are a dedicated team focused on providing a comprehensive range of treatments for individuals struggling with Treatment Resistant Depression, Major Depressive Disorder, anxiety, OCD and PTSD. Evolve Health specializes in cutting-edge interventional psychiatric therapies (Spravato, TMS, Ketamine) and integrates traditional medication management and functional medicine approaches to provide truly holistic care. We pride ourselves on a collaborative environment where diverse expertise intersects to create profound positive changes in our patients' lives.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), recognizing the immense value this brings to our integrative model.
This is a unique opportunity for a provider interested in practicing at the forefront of mental health care. You will engage in a blend of responsibilities, including managing patients undergoing interventional treatments, providing traditional psychiatric medication management, and potentially incorporating functional medicine principles into patient care plans. You will play a crucial role in assessment, treatment planning, and direct patient care, working closely with the entire clinical team. This position demands strong clinical acumen, excellent critical thinking skills (both psychiatric and medical), attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex patient presentations using a multi-faceted approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for new and existing patients. For dual-certified providers, integrate comprehensive medical assessments, particularly for patients considering or undergoing interventional treatments.
- Develop and manage evidence-based treatment plans incorporating interventional therapies, traditional psychopharmacology, and/or functional medicine approaches based on individual patient needs.
- Provide expert psychiatric medication management, including prescribing, monitoring effectiveness, and managing side effects.
- Opportunity to apply functional medicine principles if desired: assess lifestyle factors, nutritional status, and potential underlying physiological imbalances; order and interpret relevant labs (e.g., nutrient levels, hormones, inflammatory markers); recommend targeted supplements, dietary changes, and lifestyle modifications.
- Administer and monitor Spravato treatments according to protocol.
- Oversee TMS treatment delivery and patient monitoring.
- Assist with and monitor patients during Ketamine infusion therapy.
- Collaborate closely with internal team members and external providers (therapists, primary care physicians) to ensure coordinated care.
- Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatment options (interventional, pharmacological, and/or functional), potential side effects, and wellness strategies.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive electronic health records (EHR).
- Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in psychopharmacology, interventional psychiatry, functional medicine, and general medicine relevant to mental health.
- Embrace variety: This role offers a unique blend of activities. For example, your week might include conducting Spravato induction sessions, managing a panel of patients for traditional medication follow-ups, performing functional medicine workups, and collaborating with the team on TMS cases.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited PMHNP program.
- Current, unrestricted Oregon RN and APRN (PMHNP) license.
- Current DEA license.
- BLS certification required.
- Essential: Demonstrated high-level psychiatric diagnostic and treatment skills.
- Essential: Strong medical critical thinking skills.
- Essential: Strong interest in and passion for providing comprehensive mental health care, including interventional and integrative approaches.
- Experience or strong interest in learning interventional psychiatric treatments (Spravato, TMS, Ketamine) is preferred; comprehensive training provided.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and managing diverse patient needs.
