Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Banquet Captain to lead our banquet service team and ensure flawless execution of events. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet functions, coordinate with culinary and event staff, and deliver exceptional hospitality experiences. Your leadership will inspire teamwork, uphold food safety standards, and maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Duties

Supervise and coordinate all aspects of banquet service, including setup, serving, and cleanup
Lead and train banquet staff to deliver professional, efficient service aligned with brand standards
Collaborate with culinary teams to ensure timely food preparation and presentation that meets quality expectations
Manage inventory control for banquet supplies, linens, and equipment to prevent shortages or waste
Oversee POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures during events
Monitor service flow during events, troubleshoot issues promptly, and communicate effectively with team members
Assist in managing shift schedules, staffing levels, and performance evaluations to optimize team productivity

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation, restaurant management, or hospitality supervision with a focus on banquets or catering
Demonstrated ability to manage teams in fast-paced environments such as quick service or fine dining restaurants
Strong background in food safety management, inventory control, and food production processes
Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
Experience supervising staff, conducting training sessions, and leading team development initiatives
Knowledge of catering operations, event planning, and hospitality management best practices
Excellent communication skills for interviewing candidates, managing staff performance, and engaging with guests
Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in high-pressure situations
