Key Responsibilities

Manage Accounting staff, banking relationships, verify disbursements and wire confirms with bank. Assist partners with proper income/expense management on the clients. This position works with the Client Service Partner and Client Service Team to manage the day-to-day deliverables to clients.

Train staff and be a knowledgeable resource for basic accounting, software needs and proper communication techniques

Management of Accounting service team and coordination of efforts/projects across service lines (Family Office Services/Specialty service lines (Insurance, Estate and Gift, Philanthropy). Scheduling resources to provide day-to-day service and special projects such as financials for non-Accounting clients, tax workpapers, company parties

Manages banking relationship, opening, closing and authorizing account access.

Train and manage Accounting staff. Reviewing day to day work and encouraging professional growth both in house and external support.

Review monthly and quarterly financial statements to clients and/or client service teams in a timely and accurate manner

Designing standard deliverables such as financials and updating reports as client needs change i.e. cash flow reports and projected cash flow reports, budgets, ect.

Review monthly account and bank reconciliations to verify standard procedures are being maintained to ensure accuracy of client data, and proper asset controls are maintained

Manage complex engagements through the ability to schedule multiple tasks simultaneously in order to complete a deliverable in a timely manner.

Coordinate and manage overall Accounting workload to ensure sufficient coverage during absences.

Alerting Partner to possible client asset protection issues.

Perform same duties as Senior Accountant as need arises.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- 7-10 years accounting experience with individual accounting, small companies, or consolidated financial
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
What We Offer:
At Cresset, we focus on people first. As a service business, our people are our assets. Engaging our clients and employees is our highest priority. Starting base salary is $140,000 - $165,000. Salary will be based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, licenses/certifications, industry knowledge, and geographic location. Cresset offers a competitive compensation package including an annual incentive and a benefits package to all full-time employees including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, health savings accounts, short and long-term disability insurance, voluntary critical and accident insurance, and pre-tax parking and transportation programs. Aligning employee and organizational interests, all employees receive equity in Cresset.
