KARE Crew Member | Event Setup, Field Work & Warehouse
Full-time, year-round
Starting Salary: $45,760 per year - 90-Day Growth Opportunity: Up to $52,000 per year
Do You Actually Like Physical Work?
We are looking for someone who would rather move, build, load, solve problems, and accomplish something than stand around watching the clock.
This is not a quiet warehouse job where every day looks the same.
One day, you may help install a large wedding canopy in the summer heat. The next day, you may deliver furniture to a mountain venue, build a dance floor, organize a warehouse section, clean equipment, or load several events into different trucks.
Some days are long, hot, and physically demanding. Other days are shorter and easier. Event work changes constantly, and that variety is exactly what the right person enjoys.
You do not need someone following you around assigning every little task. When one job is finished, you look for the next thing that needs to be done.
You can follow a checklist, notice when something is missing, and understand that one forgotten item can create a major problem at an event.
If that sounds like you, keep reading.
Who We Are
Central Event Rentals is Central Oregon’s Kick-Ass Rental Crew.
We help create weddings, celebrations, corporate events, and unforgettable experiences throughout Central Oregon. Our clients trust us to show up prepared, communicate clearly, solve problems, and complete every job correctly.
We do not simply drop off tables and disappear. We take ownership of the entire rental experience.
Our Three “S” Promise guides every event:
Simple: We make the rental process easy, organized, and stress-free.
Service: We communicate clearly, support our clients, and handle problems before they become bigger problems.
Success: We do not consider the job complete until the client’s experience is successful.
What This Position Really Is
As a KARE Crew Member, you will work in the field and in our warehouse.
You will load trucks, deliver equipment, install event rentals, organize inventory, clean products, follow pull lists, and help make sure every event receives the correct items at the correct time.
You will begin by working alongside experienced crew members and learning our equipment, systems, standards, and event processes.
As your skills improve, you will be trusted with greater independence, more responsibility, and the opportunity to grow within the company.
This is not temporary summer labor. It is a year-round position for someone who wants stability, responsibility, and the opportunity to become highly skilled in the event rental industry.
What You Will Be Doing
- Loading and unloading tables, chairs, canopies, staging, lighting, dance floors, furniture, and other event equipment
- Delivering and picking up rental equipment throughout Central Oregon
- Setting up canopies, event furniture, ceremony spaces, lighting, dance floors, and other rental products
- Reading pull lists, checklists, diagrams, and event instructions

- Protecting rental products while loading, transporting, installing, and storing them
- Cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and properly storing equipment
- Keeping trucks, work areas, and the warehouse organized
- Communicating clearly with crew leaders and teammates
- Solving basic problems in the field instead of ignoring them
- Helping wherever needed to keep the crew moving
- Looking for the next productive task when your assigned work is complete
You May Be a Strong Fit If You
- Genuinely enjoy physical, hands-on work
- Have experience in construction, landscaping, moving, delivery, warehousing, event production, installation, farming, the trades, or another field-based job
- Like working outside and do not expect every day to be comfortable
- Can handle early mornings, changing schedules, long summer days, and occasional evening or weekend work (FYI. Events happen on the weekends!)
- Move with purpose without becoming careless
- Can read and follow a checklist accurately
- Notice small details before they become large problems
- Take pride in completing a job correctly the first time
- Can accept direct feedback without becoming defensive
- Are dependable and arrive ready to work

This Position Is Probably Not for You If You
- Prefer sitting at a desk or avoiding physical work
- Need every day to follow the same schedule
- Regularly arrive late or call out
- Lose focus when working from a list
- Wait for someone to tell you every small thing to do
- Believe standing around is acceptable when other work is available
- Become frustrated when plans change
- Rush through work and leave others to fix your mistakes
- Avoid accountability when something goes wrong
- Only want a temporary job until something easier comes along

- Reliable transportation to our Bend warehouse
- The ability to safely lift, carry, push, and move equipment weighing 50 pounds or more
- The physical ability to work on your feet for extended periods

Our KARE DNA
The people who succeed here demonstrate our five core values:
Ambition: You push yourself, stay determined, and finish what you start.
Excellence: You work efficiently without sacrificing quality.
Clarity: You communicate directly, honestly, and respectfully.
Care: You treat clients, teammates, equipment, and event spaces with respect.
Growth: You accept coaching, learn from mistakes, and continue improving.
We do not expect perfection on your first day. We do expect effort, honesty, curiosity, and visible improvement.
Schedule and Workload
This is a year-round salaried position.
Our busiest season is generally during the warmer months. Summer schedules can include early mornings, long days, fast turnarounds, weekends, and physically demanding installations.
Some days will be lighter or shorter. During slower periods, the crew focuses on cleaning, repairs, training, organization, inventory preparation, and improving our systems.
Event work is not perfectly predictable. The right person values the variety and understands that the workload changes throughout the year.
Pay and 90-Day Growth Opportunity
This position begins at an annual salary of $45,760.
After your first 90 days, we will complete a formal performance review.
Employees who demonstrate that they can be trusted in the field, follow checklists accurately, prepare complete loads, solve problems, protect company equipment, support the crew, and consistently live our KARE DNA may become eligible for recognition as a
Certified KARE Crew Member.
Employees who successfully earn this level of trust and responsibility may be eligible for a salary increase to $52,000 per year.
The increase is based on demonstrated performance, reliability, skill development, and overall fit. It is not automatic simply because 90 days have passed.
