Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced tax professional to join our public accounting team. This role focuses on business and individual tax preparation, tax planning, bookkeeping support, and client advisory services. The ideal candidate can work independently, manage multiple engagements, and provide high-quality service with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review business and individual tax returns (1065, 1120, 1120-S, and 1040)
Perform bookkeeping and write-up work
Review prior-year returns and workpapers; accurately roll engagements forward
Conduct tax research and resolve complex tax issues
Communicate directly with clients and manage engagements
Support and mentor junior staff

Required Qualifications

Active CPA license preferred; strong Enrolled Agents (EA) considered
Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience (required)
Strong experience with business and individual taxation
Hands-on bookkeeping and write-up experience
Ability to independently prepare business and individual tax returns from day one
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work onsite in Bend, OR

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
