Full Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE

Assist the General Manager in the management of all aspects of hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, guest relations, marketing and sales. Front Desk Manager must insure that all guests receive exceptional customer service and assure the highest possible level of guest satisfaction. Front Desk Manager must meet or exceed GrandStay Hospitality brand standards at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Management and training of all Front Desk positions within the hotel property

· Honest and sincere interactions with hotel owners, management, guests, employees, vendors, community and brand representatives that is both professional and non-discriminatory

· Inspection of all areas of the hotel and grounds to provide a clean, well maintained, safe and secure environment

· Provide accurate and timely operational reports as may be required by the General Manager

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills and abilities.

· Thorough understanding and effective performance of property management system

· Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace

· Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process

· Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written

· Must possess basic computational ability. Must possess basic computer skills.

· General knowledge of the city where hotel is located and its attractions. Extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services and facilities.

· Demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and employees.

OTHER

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, Front Desk Manager may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

This Position Summary is not an all-inclusive list of job functions that a Front Desk Manager may be asked to perform. Additional tasks and responsibilities may be required and amended from time to time.
