Sanitation Driver/Technician CLASS B

Bay Area Temporary Sanitation

We are a well-established, growing company in Fremont, CA. At Bay Area Temporary Sanitation, our goal is to provide high quality sanitation services to
contractor's work areas. We serve the needs of varied industries, and are concerned with maintaining a safe work environment for the contractor's crew, our employees and the public. We are confident that our skilled and experienced employees will achieve just that.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We seek a highly motivated Sanitation Technician/Driver to join our expanding company. This person will have prior Sanitation experience and will add value to the department.

POSITION DUTIES:

Operate heavy-duty vacuum trucks for delivery, pick-up, and servicing of rental equipment - portable toilets, sinks and holding tanks.

Service includes pumping, cleaning, repairing, and re-supplying all rental equipment according to B.A.T.S. standards.

Driver will transport the waste material to a disposal facility when trucks reach legal load capacity.

Driver navigates high traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, lots, construction sites and areas with high public traffic.

Special Events - be available to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Yard support by organizing, cleaning, and performing audit counts of rental equipment or supplies.

Be flexible with continuous changes with the growth of the company including fencing.

Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and visions.

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE AMAZING AT B.A.T.S:

Valid CA Class C – Commercial Driver’s License with Endorsements (minimum 1-year experience) and clear driving history

Strong verbal, writing, and math skills

Pass a background/physical/drug screen and must have a clean DMV record

High school diploma or General Education Degree

Sanitation experience as a driver/pumper, following daily route instructions

Excellent multi-tasking ability and time management skills

Able to follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures at all times

Able to follow communicate efficiently with the Customers

Strong verbal, writing, and math skills

Good organizational & time management skills

Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk/stand for long periods of time

Ability to safely follow instructions and communicate efficiently

Able to work over overtime and weekends

Flexibility to work overtime and weekends for the busy “seasons” and special events
