Please note: This is a 1st shift position (Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm).

Come join our growing team! Rosenberger North America, an innovative global leader in radio frequency and technology is currently looking for a CNC Machinist for our 1st shift in our Milling department.

Pay Ranges:

Operator (no setup experience): $20-$25 an hour, depending on experience.

Operator with Setup skillset: $25-$35, depending on experience.

About The Position:

This is a Non-Exempt (Hourly) position in a climate controlled facility.

In our NJ facility, we machine tight tolerance (<.0001 in.) defense/aerospace products (i.e. connectors) using various metals (some exotic - i.e. inconel, tantalum, beryllium copper, kovar etc.).

The CNC Machinist / Milling position is responsible for setup and operation of 3-5 axis milling, turning, and EDM machines:

- Haas VF2/VM/DM/UMC/Mini Mill, Hurco VM, DMG MillTap, DMG NHX4000, Hurco TM6, etc.

The CNC Machinist position will also be responsible to utilize support machinery (in addition to the above) such as manual lathes, manual milling machines, and EDM to complete necessary manufacturing processes. The position also requires in-process inspection (using digital measuring equipment, such as micrometers and calipers), and program improvements. The CNC Machinist is also required to work according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

The CNC Machinist reports to the Milling Supervisor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

Setup and Operation of 3 – 5 axis milling machines, CNC lathes, and EDM.
Preferred: 2-3 years' experience in the use of MasterCam or similar CAM programs to effectively create efficient programs for machine tools.
Proven success machining tight tolerance (<.0001 in.).
Perform inspection of parts utilizing standard shop precision measuring equipment. Hand tools, comparators, video measuring system, etc.
Solid knowledge of proper utilization of cutting tools.
Prior experience using end mills.
Speeds and feeds knowledge and experience.
Develop/suggest process improvements
Train entry level machinists when applicable
Ability to work with metric and inch measurements
Willing to work overtime when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

CAM programming not required, but a plus.
Minimum 2 years of CNC machining and milling experience
High school graduate required
Post-secondary technical education preferred
Ability to read and interpret drawings, including GD&T
Able to troubleshoot and resolve program and machining issues
Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities with precision
Strong team player who is able to work with multiple departments
Continuous improvement mindset
Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
