Job Description: As a Maytav Bus Operator, you will be part of a team of highly trained professionals who expertly and safely operate our fleet of Maytav Vehicles, such as our beautiful Volvo motorcoaches and our State-of-the-Art School Buses. Our operators serve as the primary contact with our valued passengers, ensuring safety and exceptional service.
Maytav operators handle trips for both our charter and tour customers, as well as our local School Districts. When working on Maytav Tours, you will typically collaborate with a tour director, traveling to destinations along the East Coast and Canada, including Niagara Falls, New York, and Washington DC. For our charter clients, you’ll work with sports teams, universities, schools, and private corporations. This role offers the rewarding experience of safely transporting passengers to their destinations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a motor coach to transport passengers on scheduled tours and trips.
- Ensure the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of passengers throughout their journey.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Maintain a clean and well-presented vehicle.
- Provide information about the tour and answer any questions passengers may have.
- Handle any customer service issues promptly and professionally.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Occasionally drive a school bus on a stand-by basis.
- On multi-day trips, manage the vehicle's maintenance including filling up with diesel, dumping waste, and refilling water.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) Class A or B
- Passenger Endorsement
- Airbrake Endorsement
- School Bus Endorsement (must be willing and able to obtain)
- Clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a coach bus driver, preferably in a tour or travel setting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Ability to pass a State conducted criminal background check
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug Test
