Full Job Description

Overview

The Home Health Aide (HHA) will provide non-medical personal care to client(s) in the client(s)’ residence and outside of the residence as needed. The Home Health Aide (HHA) must be able to deal maturely with the demands of the job and keep client information confidential. The individual must be committed to the concepts, philosophy, and mission of Amada Senior Care, and possess the desire to assist clients to maximize their independence and reach their fullest potential in their personal residence.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report changes promptly.
Support patients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care, ensuring safety and comfort.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
Use patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely to prevent injury.
Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering positive client communication and engagement in home & community care settings.

Qualifications

Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) for Pennsylvania.
Minimum 2 years experience with ADL's
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and use patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare agencies is highly desirable.
Excellent patient personal care skills combined with effective communication abilities while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
Preferred but not Required - Proven experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring hospice or end-of-life care.
