Located in the heart of Elmhurst , is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to inspire our team, elevate our menu, and delight our discerning clientele.

As our Executive Chef, you will be the culinary visionary, responsible for all aspects of our kitchen operations. You will bring your creativity, expertise, and strong leadership skills to drive culinary excellence and ensure the continued success of [Restaurant Name].

Responsibilities:

Menu Development and Innovation: Conceptualize, develop, and execute innovative and high-quality menus that reflect our [restaurant's style/cuisine] while staying current with culinary trends and incorporating seasonal ingredients.
Kitchen Management: Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring efficiency, quality, and consistency.
Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a talented kitchen team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Inventory and Cost Control: Manage food and labor costs effectively, optimize inventory levels, and minimize waste to achieve budgetary goals.
Quality and Safety Standards: Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene in accordance with all applicable regulations.
Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the procurement of high-quality ingredients at competitive prices.
Collaboration: Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and exceptional guest experiences.
Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any kitchen-related issues efficiently and effectively.
Staying Informed: Continuously research and stay updated on culinary trends, techniques, and best practices.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a Latin American restaurant for minimum of two years.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred.
Exceptional culinary skills with a strong understanding of Latin American Cuisin.
Demonstrated ability to develop creative and profitable menus.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Excellent organizational1 and time-management2 skills with a keen attention to detail.
Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Proficiency in inventory management and cost control.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for food and a commitment to culinary excellence.
