Position Summary
The Deli Assistant works alongside the Deli Manager to prepare fresh deli menu items, serve customers, maintain a clean and organized work area, and help create an outstanding customer experience every day.
Schedule
- Approximately 35 hours per week
- Typical shift: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Rotating Saturdays required
- Sundays off
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing fresh deli menu items
- Serve customers with a friendly, positive attitude
- Prepare customer food and beverage orders
- Maintain food quality and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen and deli equipment safely
- Restock products and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the deli and customer service areas
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Work closely with the Deli Manager and other team members
- Help create a welcoming environment for every customer
Qualifications
- Friendly, dependable, and professional
- Positive attitude with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Food service or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn and grow with a new business
