Sell Something People Actually Need

When a commercial vehicle is down, it isn't an inconvenience — it's lost revenue, missed service calls, and a schedule blown apart across the whole operation. Budget Transmission has been getting Arkansas businesses back on the road for years, and we're looking for a full-time outside sales rep to go build the relationships that bring those fleets to us.

This isn't a cold-call-from-a-cubicle job. You'll be out in the field — truck yards, dispatch offices, service bays, municipal garages — talking to the people who decide where their vehicles get worked on. You'll sell across both sides of our business: medium- and heavy-duty commercial work (Class 3 through Class 6 at our North Little Rock shop) and light-duty commercial accounts like contractor vans, pickups, and small delivery fleets that all three of our locations handle.

Pay

Base salary of $35,000 to $45,000, depending on experience, plus commission with a $2,000 per month target — $59,000 to $69,000 a year at target. Commission is earned on medium- and heavy-duty transmission sales and on commercial and wholesale business.

What You'll Be Doing

Calling on fleet managers, service managers, dispatchers, and owner-operators across Central Arkansas
Driving medium- and heavy-duty transmission work into our North Little Rock shop — the Class 3 through Class 6 jobs that most shops in the state can't take on
Building accounts in towing, utility and telecom, tree service, municipal and school districts, ambulance and EMS, moving and freight, landscaping, and general contracting
Developing wholesale relationships with dealerships, independent repair shops, parts houses, and truck equipment suppliers who don't do transmission work in-house
Following up on inbound fleet inquiries and turning one-time repairs into ongoing service relationships
Working with our service managers to quote jobs, coordinate scheduling, and keep customers updated
Keeping clean records of your accounts, activity, and pipeline

What You Bring

Fleet or heavy truck sales experience — you've sold to fleet managers before, whether that was parts, tires, equipment, service, or vehicles, and you already know how these buyers think and what a real decision-making process looks like.

You should have:

A track record of building relationships and following through, not just showing up
Comfort working independently and managing your own schedule and territory
Enough technical fluency to talk credibly about drivetrains, duty cycles, and downtime — you don't need to be a technician, but you do need to know what you're talking about
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
Basic comfort with a phone, email, and simple CRM or spreadsheet tracking
