Full Job Description

Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced, creative, and highly organized Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee all kitchen operations. The Executive Chef will be responsible for menu development, food quality, kitchen leadership, cost control, inventory management, catering execution, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong culinary skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining high standards for food quality, presentation, consistency, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, train, schedule, and manage kitchen staff
Develop, update, and execute menus that align with the restaurant’s concept and guest expectations
Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, portioning, and recipe standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including prep, line execution, catering, and special events
Manage food ordering, inventory, vendor relationships, and product quality
Control food costs, labor costs, waste, and overall kitchen profitability
Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
Collaborate with ownership and management on specials, events, staffing, and operational improvements
Build a positive kitchen culture focused on accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and pride in the food

Qualifications

Prior experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or senior kitchen leader
Strong culinary knowledge and ability to execute high-quality food consistently
Experience managing food costs, inventory, ordering, and labor
Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a kitchen team
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Knowledge of health department standards and food safety requirements
ServSafe certification preferred

Compensation and Benefits
