Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pharmacy Technician, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and medication safety. In this vital role, you will support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing patient interactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacy services. Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including compounding and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
Manage medication inventory, including ordering, stocking, and verifying supplies to ensure availability for patient care needs
Support patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions, reviewing medical orders, and updating patient records with precision
Administer medications under supervision, including IV infusions and other aseptic techniques in hospital or clinical settings
Maintain thorough documentation of medication administration, inventory logs, and patient interactions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Provide exceptional patient service by answering medication-related questions and coordinating with healthcare providers for optimal care delivery
Follow strict aseptic techniques during sterile compounding and IV preparation to uphold safety standards in critical care environments

Experience

Prior pharmacy technician experience in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy or hospital settings is highly preferred
Demonstrated critical care experience, especially within acute or hospital environments, is a strong asset
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations and patient care is essential
Experience with medication administration protocols, including IV infusion procedures and aseptic techniques
Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools used in hospital or clinical pharmacies
Strong understanding of LTC pharmacy operations, patient service principles, and medication safety protocols
Certification as a pharmacy technician (e.g., CPhT) or equivalent is required; additional certifications in IV infusion or aseptic technique are advantageous
