Full Job Description

Job SummarySupport the financial operations of our dealership as an Accounting AR/AP Assistant, handling core accounts receivable and payable tasks to ensure timely payments, accurate invoicing, and smooth cash flow. This entry-to-mid-level role is perfect for someone detail-oriented who enjoys numbers and contributing to a dynamic team in the construction equipment industry.

Key Responsibilities

Process accounts payable (AP) invoices, verify accuracy, obtain approvals, and issue payments via check, ACH, or credit card.
Manage accounts receivable (AR) by generating invoices, sending statements, following up on overdue payments, and applying customer payments.
Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers to maintain precise financial records.
Assist with month-end close processes, including preparing reports on aging receivables/payables and cash flow summaries.
Enter financial data into accounting software, file supporting documents, and respond to vendor/customer inquiries.
Collaborate with service, parts, and sales teams to resolve billing discrepancies and support dealership operations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
1+ years of AR/AP experience, preferably in automotive, dealership, or small business settings.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software; familiarity with dealership systems a plus.
Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
Basic understanding of GAAP principles and 1099 reporting; training provided as needed.
