Full Job Description

Payroll Administrator/Specialist

The Belden Brick Co, based in Northeast Ohio, is looking for a Payroll Administrator/Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and disbursement of the bi-weekly payroll using ADP payroll service and Time and Attendance Enterprise.

The Payroll Administrator/Specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing and payment of payroll to all employees by compiling payroll information, managing payroll preparation, completing reports, and maintaining records. This person will also handle all employee benefits. Must be comfortable handling sensitive data.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Process payroll on a biweekly basis for 450 people using ADP with Time and Attendance
Work with plant office managers to make sure timecards are accurately recorded
Retain proper documentation for auditing purpose, insuring payroll records balance with employee and company data entry and reports.
Validate payroll totals including reconciliation of payroll provider deductions
Run standard and ad hoc audit reports to ensure accuracy of employee payroll data. Must be comfortable manipulating, comparing, and handling large amounts of data
Data entry of a variety of recurring or one-time employee earnings and deductions
Assist with employee communication of late or incomplete timesheets
Process all garnishments
Prepare manual check request payments for pay cards
Track and process employee benefit eligibility
Administer company benefits
Provide a high level of customer services by answering employee questions regarding payroll and benefits
Test new ADP payroll features or changes when they are rolled out
Maintain the payroll database which includes all employee documentation
Assist with other payroll, HR, and accounting related tasks as needed
Ensure utmost confidentiality
Assist in onboarding new hires
Enter new hires into ADP

Qualifications

Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and critical thinking
2+ Years of Payroll Processing experience
Experience with ADP a plus
Microsoft Office – Excel and Word
Must be a team player

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
