Full Job Description

Home-based accounting company is a looking for a part time Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper to assist with daily accounting and office tasks. Applicant should be flexible with working in-office (home office) and client offices, as well as have own transportation for running errands to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

· Use of Quickbooks Desktop to include payroll, entries into registers, reconciliation of bank accounts, accounts payable data entry, receiving of payments, creation of deposits, creating bills and invoices for a diverse spread of clients, and more.

· Data entry into spreadsheets/excel worksheets.

· Client interaction/communication for paperwork pick-up.

· Scanning/Copying paperwork into computer.

· Filing documents into proper locations.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.
Prior office experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable is required.
Two years or more of experience in accounting or an accounting-related field.
Two years prior work experience with Quickbooks Desktop.
Extensive knowledge of accounting/financial systems.
Proficient computer literacy and software skills in Quickbooks, Adobe, Outlook, Web Portals required.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications especially in Excel (ability to navigate through Excel easily, use a variety of spreadsheets, etc.)
Ability to use office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners
Driver’s License and means of transportation for use during days running errands.
Critical thinking and conflict resolution skills
Ability to manage multiple projects throughout the day with accuracy and complete within timelines
Ability to learn new systems and programs quickly
Solid communication, administrative and organizational skills
Must be able to sit for long hours if needed.
Must complete 90 day probation period with no absences.

Job Type: Part Time (25-30 hours) Hours for In-Office/Client Offices/Errands to Clients

Pay: Starting at $17.00 - $18.00 per hour depending on experience

Home Office
Clients Office on Occasion
Transportation/Vehicle during errands

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, flexible hours. Must be available Mondays and Tuesdays especially

Education:

Associate Degree (Preferred)
Must have extensive accounting knowledge

Experience:

Accounting: 2years (Preferred)
Must have worked with Quickbooks for 2 years and current

Work Location:

Home Office
Clients Office on occasion
Transportation during errands

Summary

As a Bookkeeper Assistant, you will support the financial operations of our organization by managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and assisting with general ledger accounting. Reporting to the Senior Bookkeeper, you will utilize your core skills in double entry bookkeeping and financial concepts, while leveraging premium software like QuickBooks. Strong communication and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, are essential for success in this role. Join our team to contribute to accurate financial reporting and help maintain our commitment to excellence in accounting practices.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
