KBR Design is seeking an experienced Lead Kitchen & Bath Designer to help build one of the region's premier design studios.
We're not looking for someone to fill a seat — we're looking for someone who wants to help build one of New England's premier kitchen and bath design firms.
As our Lead Kitchen & Bath Designer, you'll play a key role in establishing our design standards, mentoring future designers, and building the systems that will support the next stage of KBR Design's growth. You'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, improve processes, and help shape the future direction of KBR Design.

Responsibilities:
- Design kitchens and bathrooms using 2020 Design Flex
- Lead client consultations from concept through final design approval
- Create detailed cabinet layouts, renderings, specifications, and presentations
- Produce accurate cabinet orders and project documentation
- Coordinate appliance specifications, cabinet modifications, moldings, fillers, panels, and accessories to ensure complete and accurate orders
- Review and verify cabinet orders for accuracy prior to submission
- Coordinate revisions, product selections, and design changes
- Coordinate with cabinet manufacturers and vendor representatives throughout the ordering process
- Verify field dimensions and review projects for constructability
- Collaborate with homeowners, contractors, installers, architects, and manufacturer representatives
- Maintain organized project documentation throughout the design process
- Assist in developing design standards, workflows, and operational procedures that support the continued growth of KBR Design
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years of professional kitchen and bath design experience using 2020 Design Flex
- Demonstrated experience producing accurate cabinet layouts, specifications, and cabinet orders
- Ability to independently manage projects from initial consultation through final cabinet order
- Excellent client communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with homeowners, contractors, and vendor partners
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with MasterBrand Cabinetry, including Mantra and Kemper
- Experience with Showplace Cabinetry
- Residential remodeling or construction experience
- NKBA certification or equivalent industry experience
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary of $60,000–$70,000, based on experience
