Salary Range:
Starting at $55,000 - $75,000 annually. Commensurate with experience. Please note that this salary range is based on a full-time position. For this 10-hour-per-week role, the salary will be adjusted proportionally based on actual hours worked.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Technician plays an important role in keeping CSI’s financial operations running smoothly by reviewing submissions and processing, recording, and documenting payments. As part of the Grants Fiscal team, this position helps ensure payments are accurate, timely, compliant, and properly documented. This flexible, part-time position works approximately 10 hours per week (0.25 FTE). The position offers some flexibility to set your own consistent schedule, but work must be completed during standard business hours. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ROLE-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties of this position include the following. Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review vendor-submitted invoices and employee, board member, and school reimbursements for accuracy, complete coding, and route for internal approvals.
- Process payments of state and federal grants, categorical funding, and state equalization to CSI schools, payments to external vendors, and employee and board member reimbursements in the state accounting system (CORE).
- Enter payment data into the CSI grant management system.
- Generate monthly reports in the grant management system to audit alignment with CORE payments.
- Track payments made against purchase orders and contracts.
- Ensure payments are processed and recorded in a timely manner.
- Route internal staff forms for approval.
- Assist with setting up new vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries.
- Assist staff members with general purchasing and reimbursement-related questions.
- Maintain knowledge of financial policies and procedures and internal controls to ensure accurate processing.
- Generate invoices for non-CSI schools for management fees.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
At a minimum, we are looking for the following:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Strong time-management and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, professional written and verbal communication skills, and familiarity with modern workplace software programs and tools
- Some experience in office administration or bookkeeping
- Self-motivated
- All final candidates must successfully pass a thorough criminal background check.
Ideal candidates will have some, or all, of the following education, skills, and abilities:
- At least two years of experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping
- Data entry experience
- Experience using accounting software
LOCATION & TRAVEL
This position is primarily remote; however, occasional in-person meetings may be required. Candidates must reside in Colorado and have reliable transportation to attend in-person meetings as needed.
