Assistant Director, Admissions

Primary Function: To assist in development, planning, and coordination of the College’s Admissions Office and enrollment goals and to participate as a member of the Student Affairs and Enrollment team to achieve the goals of the division and the College.
Responsibilities: (1) Manage assigned recruitment territory in Monroe, Pike and Wayne counties area high schools; (2) Represent NCC at events outside of the College’s sponsoring school districts; (3) Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations within assigned recruitment territory; develop and execute recruitment strategies for non-traditional (adult learner) populations within the assigned recruitment territory; (4) Utilize HubSpot or equivalent CRM tool to make informed recruiting decisions; (5) Achieve assigned territory enrollment goals; (6) Track and manage communication with assigned territory and the school counselors within assigned territory; (7) Oversee and manage the application and review process of assigned selective programs and build strong collaboration with the Program Directors; (8) Schedule and conduct appointments with prospective students and their families to discuss the admissions and enrollment process, programs offered, and resources provided by NCC; (9) In collaboration with the Associate Director of Admissions, plan and oversee on-campus events, such as open houses, info sessions, campus tours, special group presentation, etc.; (10) Connect and relate with various community groups about NCC and its programs; (11) Oversee an assigned selective program/s process; (12) Serve on various committees; (13) Perform other duties as assigned.
Organizational Relationships: (1) Responsible to the Director, Admissions and/or to the Associate Director, Admissions for performance of assigned responsibilities. (2) Work closely with the academic program directors, deans, faculty and staff, financial aid and Student Affairs departments. (3) Support NCC’s mission and vision and department goals; (4) function as a part of the Admissions team. (4) Position is based in Bethlehem but will provide support to the Pocono Campus.
Performance Standards: Performance in this position is considered satisfactory when: (1) mutually agreed upon objectives have been attained within a specified time frame, (2) responsibilities of the position have been carried out at a level consistent with performance objectives, (3) effective cooperative relationships exist with the other members of the administrative staff.
Qualifications: (1) Education: attainment of a bachelor’s degree from a Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) approved Institutional Accreditor college; (2) Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: (a) Bilingual (English, Spanish) preferred, (b) demonstrated organization, communication, and leadership skills; (c) effective presentation and public speaking skills, (d) comfortable working with small and large groups; (e) build strong relationships with students, families, and college personnel (f) embrace and adapt to changes; (g) develop positive relationships with community constituencies and diverse populations; (h) experience working with data and data tools (excel, access, commercial reporting tools, and other software). (3) Experience: 1–5 years of professional experience in college admissions; community college enrollment preferred but not required.
Note: (1) The estimated start date will be either October 12 or October 26, 2026. (2) Time will be split between administrative responsibilities at the Bethlehem campus, with support for the Pocono campus as needed, and recruitment in Monroe, Pike, and Wayne counties.
