SMART JUICE
Marketing & Brand Associate
Social Media, Content & Brand Marketing | Full-Time, On-Site | Reports to: Director of Marketing & Product Development
About the Role
Smart Juice is looking for a self-starting, detail-oriented marketing generalist to help us break the fourth wall with our consumers. Think of how brands have turned social media into a two-way conversation with their fans — grassroots influencer partnerships, scroll-stopping content, pop-up activations, and a brand voice that feels less like advertising and more like a friend in your feed. We want someone who can bring that same energy to Smart Juice: equal parts strategist and creator, comfortable moving from a spreadsheet of engagement metrics to a camera in hand at a farmers market or trade show.
This is a hybrid role that blends hands-on social media management, content creation, packaging and design support, and retail/trade marketing. You'll work closely with the Director of Marketing & Product Development and under the guidance of the Marketing Committee, with real ownership over how our brand shows up — online, on shelf, and in person.
What You'll Do
Social Media & Influencer Marketing
- Own day-to-day social media strategy, content calendar, and community management across platforms.
- Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with influencers and creators — think micro-influencer seeding and authentic partnerships, as well as one-off paid posts.
- Shoot and edit photo and video content
- Plan, launch, and optimize online/paid social ad campaigns.
- Track performance — views, engagement, growth, ad ROI, etc. — and turn the data into clear, actionable recaps and recommendations.
Brand & Community Engagement
- Pitch and help execute community engagement ideas: social campaigns, giveaways, festival activations, local events, and pop-ups that get people talking about Smart Juice.
- Help Smart Juice build an authentic following — genuine, two-way, culture-forward engagement rather than traditional advertising.
Marketing Materials & Trade Support
- Design marketing materials including sales presentations, sell sheets, one-pagers, and other retailer-facing materials, including writing copy.
- Sit in on retailer-focused sales meetings to understand what matters most to buyers, then translate that into compelling presentations and materials.
- Support trade show planning and booth design/execution.
Packaging & Design
- Create and update product labels according to packaging design specifications.
- Partner with the broader team to keep packaging on-brand, shelf-ready, and compliant with production requirements.
- Conduct store visits and shelf analysis to evaluate how our labels and packaging stands against competitors, and recommend improvements.
Strategy & Reporting
- Build regular summaries of marketing performance across channels — social, digital, retail, etc. — and use that data to propose new, creative approaches.
- Bring a strategic point of view to everything: this role is as much about the 'why' behind the work as the 'what.'
What You Bring
- A genuine self-starter mentality — ambitious, motivated, and comfortable taking initiative without waiting to be asked.
- A sharp eye for detail and a high bar for creative and visual quality.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects — social calendars, trade shows, label updates — at once.
- A blend of strategic thinking and creative execution; you can build a plan, execute, and follow to completion.
- Comfort in front of and behind the camera for content creation, including basic video and photography skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Adobe CC Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere); After Effects and Canva experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- 2+ years experience in CPG or similar.
- An interest in health, wellness, and CPG trends; familiarity with the better-for-you beverage space is a bonus.

This role reports directly to the Director of Marketing & Product Development and works under the direction of the Marketing Committee, with regular cross-functional collaboration across sales, product development, and leadership.
