Job Description:

Microchip’s Discrete Products Group (DPG) offers one of the industry's most comprehensive power and RF/microwave discrete semiconductor product portfolios. The DPG encompasses two business units, the Power Discrete & Modules BU and the RF/Microwave Discrete BU. Markets the PDM & RF/MW Discrete BU's address include: alternative energy, industrial, medical, defense, commercial aviation, communications, embedded systems, motor control, power solutions, sensors and security. Microchip is planning to fill the following position with a talented, creative and motivated individual. A generous package is offered to all regular full-time employees. Microchip DPG has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Senior Technician-Equipment. The right candidate will repair and maintain electro-mechanical equipment used in the production semiconductor equipment, calibrating the equipment and PM, and asset systems or any other duties, as directed.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Metrology, calibration of manufacturing equipment.
Ability to calibrate and perform repairs on test equipment and production equipment.
Ability to organize and maintain a calibration system for calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment.
Ability to work from schematics, mechanical drawings, or written instructions.
Ability to interface with auditors.
Experience in the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, other test equipment for calibration, calibration standards, soldering irons and mechanical tools.
Familiarity with ISO-1725, MIL-453662A desired.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Ability to use MS Office.
Ability to interface with parts or service vendors
Trade school or post high school certificate training in electronics desired.
