Position Summary
At Linden Landscape Services, our Lawn Care Crew Members are responsible for delivering professional lawn and landscape maintenance services while providing exceptional customer experiences. Crew members perform routine lawn care, seasonal cleanups, fertilizer and weed control applications, light landscape enhancement work, and assist with winter snow operations.
This position requires someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in producing high-quality work, values teamwork, and represents Linden Landscape Services with professionalism and integrity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate commercial zero-turn mowers, walk-behind mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers, and other landscape equipment safely and efficiently.
- Mow residential and commercial properties according to Linden quality standards.
- String trim around buildings, fences, signs, trees, landscape beds, and hardscape.
- Edge sidewalks, driveways, and curbs where applicable.
- Blow all hard surfaces clean upon completion.
- Perform routine property inspections while servicing each site.
- Identify irrigation issues, damaged turf, disease, weeds, pests, or property damage and report findings to the Crew Leader.
- Follow daily route schedules while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.
- Properly load, unload, clean, and secure all equipment and trailers each day.
Lawn Health & Weed Management
- Apply fertilizers, pre-emergent herbicides, post-emergent herbicides, and soil amendments according to Montana regulations and company procedures.
- Perform weed mitigation in turf, landscape beds, gravel areas, fence lines, and other designated areas.
- Assist with aeration and overseeding services.
- Maintain accurate application records as required.
- Follow all pesticide labels and safety requirements.
- Wear required PPE when handling fertilizers or herbicides.
Landscape Enhancements & Seasonal Services
Assist with small enhancement projects including:
- Mulch installation
- Bed edging and redefining
- Shrub and perennial pruning
- Plant installation
- Seasonal flower planting
- Landscape cleanups
- Spring and fall leaf removal
- Debris removal
- Small irrigation repairs or adjustments
- Minor landscape improvements
Daily Responsibilities
- Complete vehicle and equipment inspections before leaving the shop.
- Ensure trailers are properly loaded and secured.
- Maintain clean equipment and vehicles.
- Work safely around pedestrians, vehicles, pets, and property.
- Communicate professionally with customers when necessary.
- Follow directions from Crew Leaders and Managers.
- Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining Linden quality standards.
- Report damaged equipment immediately.
- Help maintain a clean, organized shop and yard.
Qualifications Required
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (preferred for drivers).
- Ability to work outdoors in varying Montana weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
Preferred
- Experience in commercial lawn maintenance.
- Experience operating commercial mowing equipment.
- Experience applying fertilizer or herbicides.
- Montana Commercial Applicator License (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with irrigation systems.

Physical Requirements
Employees must regularly:
- Walk several miles per day.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Push and pull equipment.

- Operate vibrating equipment for extended periods.
- Work in heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and changing Montana weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
