Full Job Description

CALLING ALL COOKS!!!

Tired of constantly working nights, weekends, and holidays? Tired or missing out on family gatherings and major life events?

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented cook to join our team in a fast-paced food production facility. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and mixing high-quality ingredients, and will work to ensure consistent quality.

Shift:

Monday-Friday (Occasional Saturdays)

6AM - Finish (usually between 2pm-5pm)

Rate:

Based on experience

Role:

Work in a food manufacturing facility in the kitchen/filling department preparing and mixing ingredients to go to the production line.

TASKS PERFORMED:

Prepare room and equipment and for use
Gather ingredients for each recipe from the cooler and freezer
Understand the different allergens of various ingredients
Measure and weigh ingredients and prepare them in accordance with established recipes
Operate the equipment according to safety procedures
Complete batch sheet paperwork
Ability to constantly follow recipes accurately and without any deviations.
Responsible for inspecting and recognizing defective product
Maintain Production and Quality reports accurately and complete in a timely manner.
Properly separates food-waste, and trash and places them in their designated barrels.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NECESSARY TO PERFORM JOB TASKS:

Attention to detail
Able to follow instructions and produce consistent results
Work as part of a team
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Food manufacturing experience a plus
Previous cooking or batch making experience is a plus
Previous experience as a commissary chef / commissary cook is a plus
High School diploma, equivalency diploma, or 2 years experience in the food industry
Ability to lift 25-50 pounds
