Full Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team in Billings, Montana as a CNC Machinist and become a vital part of producing high-precision components for diverse industries. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC machines to ensure the highest quality standards are met. Your expertise in machining processes, technical skills, and attention to detail will drive efficiency and excellence in our production line. Responsibilities

Operate Haas CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, to produce complex parts with precision.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing.
Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and digital height gages to verify dimensions.
Set up tooling, fixtures, and tooling offsets; perform setups efficiently to minimize downtime.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols including proper use of hand tools, power tools and forklift operation when necessary.
Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction.

Experience

Proven experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with CAM programming software is desirable.
Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings
Ability to work with precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges and digital height gages to ensure tight tolerances.
Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and measurements accurately.
Mechanical aptitude combined with familiarity in manufacturing environments that utilize lean principles for continuous improvement. Join us if you’re passionate about precision machining and eager to contribute your technical expertise in a fast-paced production setting!

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
