Full Job Description

We are currently looking to hire a cook for McCormick Cafe on Montana Avenue in Billings. is open from 7 am to 3 pm daily. Must be willing and able to work variable hours.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for the daily preparation of food items.
Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines.
Prepares all food items ads directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Café.
Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.
Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills.
Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station.
Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Manager at any time.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees and guests to foster and promote a fun and harmonious working climate that maximizes morale, productivity and efficiency.
Provides a favorable image of the Company at all times to promote its objectives and enhance public recognition of all its areas of endeavor.

Physical Requirements:

This position will spend 100% of the time standing.
Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.
Must be able speak, read and understand basic cooking directions.

Knowledge and Skill:

Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
Previous prep or line cook experience required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
