Community Education - Business Instructor (Part-Time)
Position: Community Education Business Teacher
Schedule: Approximately 20 to 25 hours per week (Work hours will be day and evening)
Status: Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Benefit Eligible
Wage: $42.47/hour
Start Date: December 14, 2026
We are seeking a knowledgeable, motivated, and engaging Community Education Business Teacher to join our team. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to teach adult learners while collaborating with the Community Education Director to develop and expand business course offerings that meet the needs of our community.
Responsibilities

Teach a variety of business and workforce development courses for adult learners.

Collaborate with the Community Education Director to design, develop, and update new course offerings.

Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that support student success.

Foster an engaging, inclusive, and professional learning environment.

Maintain accurate attendance and course records.

Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure course relevance.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to teach learners with varying levels of experience, and a passion for helping individuals build practical business skills as they pursue new employment or advancement with their current employer. Position will require the successful candidate to actively engage with our business community to ensure the program is meeting the needs of employers.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous teaching, training, or instructional experience, preferably with adult learners.

Experience and successful track record in developing partnerships with the business community.

Experience developing curriculum or creating new educational programming.

Relevant education, certifications, or professional experience in business and accounting.
