Job Summary - This is a position in Brandon, MS
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to lead our culinary team with energy, innovation, and excellence. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu planning and food preparation to team supervision and food safety compliance. Responsibilities

Lead and manage the entire kitchen operation, ensuring smooth daily workflow and high-quality food production.
Develop innovative menus that highlight culinary creativity while adhering to dietary guidelines and customer preferences.
Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, and catering teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations at all times.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through efficient inventory management practices.
Coordinate with the catering department to plan and execute large-scale banquet events with precision and flair.
Ensure consistent food presentation, portion control, and quality standards across all dishes served.
Implement shift management strategies to optimize staffing levels during peak hours while maintaining excellent service quality.
Train team members in food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service excellence.
Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness to uphold health standards and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with restaurant management on menu planning, pricing strategies, and promotional initiatives.
Lead by example in demonstrating leadership qualities such as motivation, accountability, and effective communication to foster a cohesive team environment.

Requirements

Proven experience in fine dining kitchens with strong background in food production, catering, or restaurant management.
Extensive culinary experience with expertise in cooking techniques across diverse cuisines.
Demonstrated supervising experience managing kitchen staff or culinary teams effectively.
Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and dietary department standards.
Experience in banquet operations and managing large-scale catering events is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage shift schedules efficiently.
Excellent organizational skills for inventory control, menu planning, and cost management.
Familiarity with food service management systems and inventory management tools.
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Exceptional communication skills for coordinating with staff, vendors, and management teams.
