JOB DUTIES

Deliver classroom and/or lab-based instruction in veterinary assisting topics (e.g., animal handling, clinical procedures, medical terminology, sanitation, and safety protocols)

Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and industry expectations

Demonstrate proper veterinary techniques, including restraint, exam room prep, and basic clinical support skills

Facilitate hands-on learning experiences in lab or simulated clinical environments

Ensure proper use, maintenance, and sanitation of lab equipment and instructional materials

Enforce safety protocols, including OSHA standards and proper animal handling procedures

Supervise students in lab settings to ensure safe and ethical treatment of animals

WORKING CONDITIONS-
Ability to perform physical work with patients and students in a clinical setting including the ability to lift 50 pounds

Positions in this class typically require: ability to use a key board, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
