Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Receptionist to join our team! This multifaceted role combines essential bookkeeping responsibilities with front-desk reception duties, ensuring smooth financial operations and a welcoming environment for clients and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will be energized by managing financial records with precision while providing exceptional customer service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in accounting systems, financial software, and administrative support within a vibrant organization committed to excellence.

Duties

Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance using QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop.
Answering incoming phone calls and enter information into our CRM program.
Help coordinate jobs and scheduling with our superintendent
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
Assist with payroll processing, including tax filings and employee record management, utilizing payroll software integrated with financial systems.
Maintain organized records of all financial transactions, correspondence, and administrative documents in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and organizational policies.

Requirements

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with familiarity in double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation.
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks.
Knowledge of corporate accounting practices.
Ability to perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and accounts payable/receivable management accurately.
Familiarity with payroll processing, tax regulations, and governmental accounting standards.
Excellent organizational skills including 10 key typing speed and attention to detail for account analysis and data entry.
Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, GAAP compliance, and budgeting processes.
Effective communication skills for customer service duties at the front desk and internal collaboration.
Prior experience working with multiple accounting systems or financial software is highly desirable.
