Full Job Description

Head Chef / Kitchen ManagerVault 168 – Binghamton, NY

Vault 168 is looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen and help take our food program to the next level. We're seeking a dependable leader with a passion for quality, consistency, and teamwork.

Requirements

Must know how to properly cook steaks to temperature (required).
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Previous experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen.
Experience with inventory, food ordering, and controlling food costs.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Reliable, organized, and able to lead by example.

Responsibilities

Oversee all daily kitchen operations.
Ensure every plate meets Vault 168's quality standards.
Train, coach, and lead the kitchen team.
Maintain consistency, cleanliness, and organization.
Manage inventory and place food orders.
Control food costs and minimize waste.
Work closely with management on menu development and seasonal specials.
