Full Job Description

Staff Nurse - Johnson City

Lourdes Health and Fitness in Johnson City is currently looking for part time RN/LPN staff nurses, the responsibilities of the position are:

Perform Nursing Assessments on new members and re-evaluation assessments on existing members.
Pull files for the next day or days to ensure all of the information is entered into the computer correctly, highlight information needed.
Enter new member (ParQ) into the computer and create folders according to Diagnosis/Medical Issues.
Obtain medical release forms from appropriate members as needed and fax to MD. Notify members of any restrictions.
Report need for any office/nursing supplies to Nurse Manager.
Respond to codes during your shift and handle according to incident severity.
Report to Nurse Manager any problems with equipment.
Periodically attend in-services for safety and code procedures.
Maintain and read nursing log for any updates/news and alert fellow co-workers of anything important that may have happened during your shift.
Survey facility for all safety issues and report any findings to the Nurse Manager.
Complete daily activity sheets at end of your shift.
Maintain file room and advise Nurse Manager of any problems.
Maintain professionalism in regards to members, co-workers, and staff. Work well with all departments to create a team building spirit in the facility.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN); CPR and AED Certified
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
·Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
