Job Title: Mason (Commercial Masonry Construction)
Location: Birmingham, AL or Huntsville, AL
Compensation: $20 - $26/hr

Company Overview:
Tiello has partnered with a highly successful Commercial Masonry Contractor in Birmingham and Huntsville, AL area on their search for skilled Masons to join their growing team.
Role Summary:
The Mason will be responsible for laying brick, block, and stone on commercial construction projects while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lay brick, concrete block, CMU, stone, and other masonry materials according to project specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout plans
- Mix mortar and grout to proper consistency
- Construct walls, partitions, columns, and other masonry structures
- Install masonry reinforcement, anchors, and flashing systems
- Perform tuckpointing, repairs, and restoration work as needed
- Ensure work meets company quality standards and project schedules
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following OSHA safety regulations
- Collaborate with foremen, superintendents, and other trades on-site
- Operate masonry tools and equipment safely and efficiently
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of commercial masonry experience
- Experience laying CMU block, brick, and stone on commercial projects
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong understanding of masonry installation methods and safety practices
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Strong work ethic with excellent attendance and teamwork skills
