Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supermarket Deli/Restaurant Manager to lead our deli and food service operations. This role involves overseeing daily management of food preparation, customer service, staff supervision, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of food industry practices to deliver exceptional dining experiences within a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

Manage daily deli and restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques and customer service protocols.
Oversee inventory control processes, including stock ordering, storage, rotation, and waste reduction.
Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all food handling areas.
Implement staff training programs focused on food production, hospitality management, and operational efficiency.
Monitor financial performance through budgeting, sales analysis, and cost control measures.
Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of ingredients and supplies.
Lead efforts in catering, banquet events, or special promotions to enhance revenue streams.
Promote a positive team environment through effective interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing development.

Skills

Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within quick service or fast-food restaurant settings.
Proven supervisory experience in hospitality or food service management roles.
Knowledge of inventory control techniques and food safety standards.
Ability to manage shift schedules efficiently while maintaining high service standards.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on staff training & development.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly.
Experience in budgeting, food production management, catering, or banquet services is highly desirable.
Familiarity with culinary techniques across casual dining or fine dining environments.
Effective communication skills suitable for diverse teams and customer interactions.
