Join Our From-Scratch Kitchen Team: Lead Line Cook at brick & tin

Are you passionate about real food, made from scratch? Do you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen where leadership, consistency, and craftsmanship matter? brick & tin is looking for a dedicated Lead Line Cook to help lead our culinary team with excellence.

As an Lead Line Cook, you'll be instrumental in upholding the high standards our guests expect — from precision in execution to a culture of integrity, accountability, and creativity in the kitchen.

What You’ll Do:

Lead by example: Guide and inspire our kitchen team to execute brick & tin’s scratch-made recipes to perfection every day.
Support & develop your team: Assist in onboarding, and training new back-of-house staff. Mentor team members, provide feedback, and help foster a positive, high-performance culture.
Maintain operational excellence: Partner with the Kitchen Manager and senior leadership to manage food execution and consistency, ensure proper inventory levels, and keep kitchen operations running smoothly. Checking out staff at end of shift to ensure restaurant is clean and clutter free at all times.
Drive quality & consistency: Ensure every dish meets our standards — from ingredient prep to plating — while maintaining exceptional cleanliness and organization.
Lead health & safety efforts: Be a point of contact for Health Department visits and ensure compliance with all sanitation and food safety standards.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Assistant Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role in a fast-paced, from-scratch kitchen
Strong understanding of kitchen operations, inventory, costing, and scheduling
A passion for honest food, team development, and operational excellence
Solid knowledge of a wide range of techniques and recipes
Open availability and commitment to a 45+ hour work week
Fluid schedule availability to fill what is needed for operations
Ability to take direction from upper management and head office and put into play with staff
Culinary school or restaurant management degree is a plus — but not required if you’ve got the skills and experience

Benefits and Pay

Pay is base rate of $11 or $12 per hour plus tip pool that averages $8 an hour making your rate minimum of $20 per hour up to $25 an hour
With being required to work 45 hours you will have at least 5 hours of OT every week increasing pay
We are closed most major holidays and usually multiple days for each
No late nights since we close at 8pm
Performance and tenure raises
Health, vision, and dental insurance available. We offer primary and secondary insurance.
Direct deposit available and paid weekly on Wednesday
