Human Resources Specialist – Recruiting
$85,000 - $95,000 + bonus
Birmingham, AL

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR professional to join their team as a dedicated Recruiting Specialist. In this role, you will be the face of our organization to prospective talent, managing the full-cycle recruitment process from initial sourcing to final onboarding. You will partner directly with hiring managers and leadership to attract and integrate top-tier talent while leveraging data-driven insights to refine our hiring workflows. This position is perfect for an organized HR professional who is passionate about building high-performing teams and delivering an exceptional candidate experience from day one.

Job Duties:

Execute full-cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination
Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, candidate profiles, and interview timelines
Serve as the primary point of contact for external recruiting partners, both domestic and global
Oversee the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring new hires are fully integrated and equipped for success
Facilitate pre-hire documentation, background checks, and new-hire paperwork with high attention to detail
Manage and host new-hire orientations to ensure a structured and engaging introduction to the company
Maintain accurate, real-time recruiting trackers and candidate communication logs
Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends in employee retention
Prepare periodic HR reports, including PTO status updates, EEO filings, and organizational charts
Manage the summer internship program and assist with quarterly employee engagement initiatives
Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Accounting, and department leaders to ensure seamless operational transitions
Provide guidance to hiring managers on interviewing best practices and selection strategies

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or general human resources
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel, for high-quality documentation
Prior hands-on experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or HRIS platforms
Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to influence hiring decisions at all levels
Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong commitment to providing a best-in-class candidate and employee experience
High level of professional maturity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Self-motivated approach with a strong work ethic and a focus on continuous process improvement
Availability to participate in cross-training initiatives to ensure full team operational coverage
