Children's South Hoover Day Shift ENT Clinic South Req # 1906 Location 1940 Elmer J Bissell Rd, Hoover, Alabama Category Provider Schedule Full Time Work Schedule Monday-Friday Standard Days Schedule Description Dayshift hours all within a Monday-Friday 8-430 schedule

In ENT Clinic South at Children's South Hoover

Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, Dayshift hours all within a Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.

Summary:
The Advanced Practice Provider is an advanced practice registered nurse or physician’s assistant with education, training, certification, and licensure to provide care for a specified patient population. This individual will deliver longitudinal care for patients including well-child care and prevention/management of common pediatric acute illnesses and chronic conditions. This care is provided to support optimal health of children within the context of their family, community, and environmental setting. The components of the role include clinical practice, consultation, professional development, education, and scholarship. This individual works in collaboration with the collaborating physician, Division Medical Director, staff physicians, the Division Director of Nursing, Director of Advanced Practice Providers, staff nurses and other team members.

Other information:

Education:

MSN, DNP or Post-Graduate Certificate with specialization as a pediatric nurse practitioner or family nurse practitioner
Graduate of master’s or doctoral level physician assistant program

Experience:

At least 1 year of nursing or medical experience required with experience in the subspecialty area preferred.

Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries:

Must be eligible to practice as a nurse practitioner as determined by the Alabama Board of Nursing or as a physician assistant as determined by the Alabama Board of Medicine
Current RN Licensure in the State of Alabama for nurse practitioners
Current BLS certification
Valid Primary Care PNP, Acute Care PNP or FNP certification from appropriate certifying board or certification as PA-C from NCCPA

Basic Life Support
Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:

Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care PNCB or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:

Family Nurse Practitioner AANP

All five of our physicians are board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology with current Alabama medical licenses, actively publish in peer-review medical journals, and participate as teachers, presenters, and instructors both regionally and nationally. Synergy of Care As the Otolaryngology specialist for Children’s Hospital of Alabama PENTA has the resources to achieve total synergy of care for our patients. Our team of physicians, nurse practitioners and RNs work closely with audiologists, one-day surgery, radiology, sleep study clinic, and HEAR specialists to offer complete care for any ENT diagnosis.
