Full Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years CVICU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a vital role caring for critically ill cardiac patients in a high-acuity environment. We are seeking an experienced RN with a strong background in CVICU and ICU care to provide clinical expertise and compassionate support for a leading cardiovascular intensive care unit. This contract opportunity is designed for professionals looking to apply advanced skills in a dynamic cardiac-focused setting.

Qualities and Experience Sought:

Active RN licensure
Minimum of 2 years' direct experience in cardiac intensive care
Proven competencies in CVICU and general ICU nursing practices
Ability to manage a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio efficiently
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive care to critically ill cardiac patients with complex diagnoses
Monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress, adjusting interventions as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
Operate and troubleshoot advanced cardiovascular monitoring equipment
Support patients and families by providing education and compassionate guidance
Respond rapidly to changes in patient status and execute emergency interventions
Adhere strictly to hospital and regulatory policies on safety, hygiene, and documentation

$1,575 - $1,714/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
