Membership Recruitment Manager, Girl Scouts - Dakota Horizons
Girl Scouts - Dakota Horizons is a mission-driven nonprofit that helps build girls of courage, confidence, and character. Through council-sponsored events, camps, and hands-on experiences, girls build skills, make lifelong friends, and create unforgettable memories during their most formative years. Our volunteers/adult members play an essential and rewarding role in facilitating these opportunities for girls – helping them grow, learn, and positively impact their communities.
We’re looking for an outgoing, relationship-building Membership Recruitment Manager to help connect girls and adult volunteers to the power of Girl Scouts. In this role, you’ll coordinate fun and engaging recruitment events, meet families and community partners, communicate the value of membership, and convert interested leads into active members. If you love community outreach, youth development, and inspiring people to get involved - this role offers meaningful work every day.
What You’ll Do
- Plan, coordinate and deliver effective recruitment events and outreach activities across assigned territory to achieve membership goals.
- Engage with families, volunteers, and community organizations—positively representing the Girl Scouts brand and mission.
- Follow up with prospective members via phone/email, answer questions, and inspire them to join.
- Thoughtfully place new girls and volunteers into troops or start a new troop while supporting a smooth onboarding experience.
What You Bring
- Associate’s degree in education, business, human resources, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- At least 1 year of successful experience in outreach, customer engagement, or relationship-based work.
- Genuine passion for the Girl Scout mission and youth development.
- Confident, independent self-starter who enjoys public speaking, networking, and building relationships in new communities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM/Salesforce experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Midwest.
Pay & Benefits
- $46,000 – $49,000 annually, DOE

Schedule & Work Environment
- Variable hours around events and travel; most recruitment and outreach activities happen after school/evenings, occasional Saturday events may be required
- Corporate Offices closed Friday afternoons
- Hybrid work environment (3 days in office, 2 days work from home)
- Weekly travel within assigned territory, occasional overnight travel may be required
- Position will be based in one of the following locations: Sioux Falls, SD; Fargo, ND; Bismarck, ND; or Grand Forks, ND
