Full Job Description

Torgerson's Equipment in Great Falls Montana is looking for an Experienced Staff Accountant. Come join our corporate team! Salary commensurate with experience. We offer benefits including a matching 401K!

Preferred applicant will have accounts payable experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Electronic efficiency and organizational skills with a strong work ethic a must.

This position requires a professional corporate image; in dress, in communication, in email, and in community. Maintaining company confidentiality is critical. We need someone with a positive attitude and a willingness to be a part of our team who is supportive of company policies and procedures.

DESIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE: Preferred applicants will have a degree in accounting or a related field and knowledge of bookkeeping/accounts payable processes with a minimum of four years experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process all payables from multi-location complex, primarily via email.
Process invoices for payment and run checks daily.
Monitor vendor discount opportunities
Schedule and prepare checks; resolve payment discrepancies and ensure payments made by due dates.
Reconcile and enter all corporate payables.
Communicate with vendors on a frequent basis.
Inventory audits, controls and reconciliation
Perform additional office support duties as requested.

COMPANY REQUIREMENTS:
Self-motivated with attention to detail while working within routine processes.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and vendors.
Professional image in work and communication; ability to maintain company confidentiality.
Electronically efficient; proficient in Microsoft Word, Google, Excel, etc.
Follow all company policies based on the employee, drug and alcohol, and safety handbooks.
Work environment requires hand and eye coordination sufficient to operate a computer, phone, copy machine, scanner, and other pieces of office equipment, drive a vehicle; ability to talk and hear in person or by telephone; lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Frequent sitting, bending, reaching, and grasping.
